A new Boss Rush update?

Yes but not really,

Boss Rush has received a Completely new version made from the ground up in Godot! But not by me!

This new version was created by my good friend Migats, who came up to me and asked if he could try to remake Boss Rush in Godot to challenge himself in learning a new engine. I send him all the assets and in like 1 month, he recreated everything faithfully with 60+ fps and other quality of life changes. Woah!

if you're curious whats added/changed, heres a list!

  • Tired of spamming the mouse button to shoot? you're in luck! Holding left mouse button will finally let you autofire!!!
  • A brandnew interactive Tutorial! Leagues better than my old tutorial lol.
  • A new custom track for the 1st boss so the Nintendo ninja's can't assassinate me or streamers anymore!
  • Bye bye 20 fps, hello 60+ fps!
  • A pause menu and Credits screen
  • Cool new particles and effects!
  • Removed lots of other jank from the old game maker version

Thats most of the changes between versions but i might've forgotten some. It's not like the final boss has new tricks up his sleeve or anything, right? right?

Huge huge HUGE thanks to Migats for making this new version entirely out of his own free will. It feels pretty crazy seeing something i made being remade by someone else. But i couldn't be happier with how it turned out! its literally a perfect port with quality of life stuff added as a cherry on top. and is now the Defenitive way to play Boss Rush in my opinion.

Migats worked really hard on this new version. So please go ahead and check out his gamepage or other works like his music on soundcloud or spotify!

Thats it for now. Thank you for reading and good luck with school or whatever else you keep yourself busy with!

This game was so fun! Glad Migats remade it so I could check it out :)

I really appreciate the shoutout. It was a lot of fun working on this game and learning a new engine on the way. I also learned that planning can really save time.
